ABOUT THE HOUSE: Our house was built in 1996 so it came with a 200 amp panel. ENERGY EFFICIENCY:

• 8 Kw rooftop solar system installed by Tesla in December 2019.

• Extra insulation added in 2024. To qualify for rebates from BayREN, we had to seal ducts.

• Double pane windows came with house.

ELECTRIFICATION:

• Mitsubishi Heat Pump HVAC: installed by Electrify My Home.

• State Heat pump water heater installed by Electrify My Home.

• EV Wallbox charger installed in 2019 by Divine Electric

• EVs: Hyundai Ioniq 5 bought in 2022. I bought it from the Laguna Beach Hyundai dealership because Bay Area Dealerships had $5,000-$15,000 markup at the time. Second is a Kia Niro we leased in April 2024.

• Bidirectional Charging: We can use the Ioniq 5 EV battery during power outages to power essential appliances.

• Bosch induction cooktop installed May of 2024 with rebates from California Smart Home.

• LG Electric clothes dryer

WATER CONSERVATION & LANDSCAPE:

• Lawn removed and replaced with bark, with rebate from Marin Water’s Cash for Grass.

• We don't water anything during the summer except for our fairly new hedges and the succulents.

• Potted succulents, trees, and some native plants.

FIRE HARDENING:

• Vegetation cut back 5 ft from house.

• Wooden gates attaching fence to house removed.

• Replaced home vents with Vulcan fireproof vents.

SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS:

• Marmoleum for upstairs jack and jill bathroom
